TRACK & FIELD, DOWN TO THE PAINT

Every design in this series isolates functional track markings—lane numbers, start lines, relay zones, distance marks—and reduces them to minimalist graphics. The artwork is printed in distressed white to replicate track paint. The shirt fabric supplies the track surface.

Color Infrastructure

Black | The Modern Track: Represents dark synthetic rubber training facilities. White print on black is the design in its literal form.

Deep Red | The Classic Track: The historical default. Iron oxide pigments protect outdoor rubber from UV degradation, making red the sport's visual shorthand.

Cinder | Before the Rubber: Recalls the heritage era of cinder, clay, and crushed-earth tracks preceding modern synthetic surfaces.

Charcoal Gray | Paris 1924: References the surface used during the 1924 Paris Olympics. Paris 2024 designers integrated this gray around the Stade de France bends as a historical bridge.

Olympic Violet | Paris 2024 Technical Areas: Matches the darker technical and service areas of the first purple athletics track in Olympic history.

Olympic Lavender | Paris 2024 Competition Track: Replicates the lighter lavender nine-lane competition surface, chosen to reference the lavender fields of southern France.

Infield Green | The Field: Represents the infield turf hosting jump and throw events. It completes the three-color venue palette of Paris 2024.

Paris Pink | The Accent: Not a racing surface, but the connective visual accent across the Paris 2024 Games, providing necessary structural contrast.
